NAME
epass - convert a password to a encrypted token

SYNOPSIS
       epass password [salt]
       epass -h
       epass -V

DESCRIPTION
This program is used in scripts when building accounts or the like.

The char* positional parameter password provides the plain text pass-
word to encrypt. The string positional parameter salt forces a spe-
cific two character salt for the encrypted password.

The salt parameter defaults to a random value selected as a function of
the process id of the epass process.
